Pump System Simulations

ITT Monitoring and Control is pleased to provide a series of interactive simulations that demonstrates how a pump system is controlled in different applications. These simulations help identify the benefits of implementing a PumpSmart Variable Speed Pump System.

Pump System Control Methods

This simulation demonstrates the difference between operating a fixed speed and variable speed pump system. Variables such as valve position and pump speed can be manipulated to change the flow of the pump and show the effects on operating pressures, flow economy and power consumption.

Constant Pressure System

This simulation demonstrates the difference between operating a fixed speed pump with control valve versus a variable speed pump system. Variables such as valve position and pump speed can be manipulated to change the flow of the pump and show the effects on operating pressures, flow economy and power consumption.

Multi-Pump Control Strategies

This simulation demonstrates the effects of flow output between two like pumps operating in parallel maintaining a constant pressure using three different control strategies. Understanding how flow can be affected using different methods of control is critical for the reliability and energy consumption of the pump.
