Facilitator Bios

Dan Pereira
Dan Pereira has worked for ITT Goulds Pumps for 25 years. He began his career as an applications engineer and moved on to sales engineer with a focus on the chemical/petrochemical, pulp and paper, engineer contractor, and energy markets. Dan has extensive experience working as an on-site Pump Specialist at major chemical manufacturing facilities working with engineering, operations, maintenance, and purchasing to help companies reduce Life Cycle Cost and increase equipment life and reliability. Over the past 15 years, Dan has brought his expertise to the classroom teaching general hydraulics, pump operation, pump maintenance, and pump optimization for the petro chemical, pulp and paper, and energy industries.

Jimmie Wolfgang
Jim Wolfgang is a Pump Reliability Specialist with ITT PRO Services Training & Development.  He has a Mechanical Engineering background and has more than 35 years experience in pumping, mineral processing and air pollution control equipment.  He has worked in designing Ball Mills, Rotary Kilns, Incinerators, and Electrostatic Precipitators.  He has extensive experience in field installation and repair of pumps, mechanical seals, and rotating equipment.  More than 15 of those years are in slurry pumping.  Jim has been in Field Service, Q.A., failure analysis, NDT testing, pump inspections, and pump testing while with ITT, Goulds Pumps.  He holds a Level II Vibration Analysis Certification and is actively engaged with the Energy Performance Services (EPS) group studies.
John Lilley
John is a Reliability Specialist with ITT PRO Services Training & Development.  He has over 40 years of rotating equipment experience. He began his career in the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Program. There he was a first class machinist mate where he operated and performed maintenance on nuclear powered propulsion systems and axillaries. He is a licensed Marine Engineer and worked for Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding as a Machinery Supervisor, Estimator and Project Manager. He worked for Chevron USA for 25 years at their Pascagoula Ms. world class refinery. There he was team leader of the Machine shop, Machinery Project Crew. He was the leader of the the quality management group for rotating equipment for the refinery. He worked with the rotating equipment reliability group. John was a Reliability Analyst with Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. in Angola West Africa. He was the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent of a Methanol plant in Equatorial Guinea. He joined the PPS team in 2011.
